He made it!

After two flights and a 45 minute car ride from Billund, Brian was in Denmark. Finn collected him at the airport and they were on their way to check in to the Hostel, Exchange money and Pick up the kids from school.

Friday was a special day at Herning Friskole and it required that the children run/walk either 6 or 9km and then celebrate their feat with cocoa and rolls at the school. They made it there just in time to see Max come in followed by Sophie and Bailey. As you can see they were happy to see one another! Teachers and parents came forward to say hello and welcome them to the school!

After the school tour they arrived home and began to show their dad their rooms! Upstairs first for Max and Sophie and then downstairs for Bailey's.

After Brian had a bite to eat this group was ready to go check out the hostel and their room for the weekends! We left with a trunk full of luggage and toys by car while Brian and the kids rode to the hostel via the bicycle path. Brian was happy to see that 5 minutes was really just 5 minutes and that you could see our home from the hostel. The kids and I settled things in the room with blanket and unpacking comfort items while Brian and Finn went to collect groceries. We had to be certain that they would be set up for the weekend because of the limited hours for shopping here!

Every morning there is a yummy breakfast provided by the hostel with a variety of choices. Max opted for corn flakes while the girls and Brian had eggs, with homemade rolls, cheese jam, honey and meats for the bread.

They decided that they would check out the lake and managed to walk all the way around it! ( Finding cool places for photo ops all along the way)

Max wanted to take this one back, but it proved to be too big to fit in his pockets! After leaving them this evening, they were ready to tuck in and watch cozy movies! Their plans tomorrow are to bike ride to the library and do a bit of shopping at one of the only shops availible on Sundays!
The kids will stay the evening tonight and then during the week come home and be dropped off every morning. The hostel has been equipped better than we even expected with a kitchen and microwave available for use, and two trampolines, air hockey as well as pool and a few games too! ( we plan on collecting the pics from Brian so that I can keep you all posted as the days continue!)
