Denmark!

The very first full day after we arrived a bunch of neighborhood kids arrived at our door looking for some fun. Or more likely to check out the new kids. ;)

From left to right:

Within a half an hour or so they were all playing tag. Fortunately some things require no language skill, and some games are universal! Having a step-brother who could bridge the gap helps a bunch too. Philip's English has improved ten-fold since our three weeks in Michigan. He is the envy of his buddies at skole, because English has become a breeze for him!

The next day we woke up and again the crew was at the door. There was some excitement when Bailey found a frog and they spent the day creating a frog habitat in the new wheelbarrow. We learned the danish word for island, and stone, and frog within a few minutes and they took turns guarding the frog while they added to his home.

We've been warned about cool and wet weather, but the first two weeks have had us wishing that we had air conditioning!

It has been nice to see the sun - Sophie kept saying.."Mom, this seems just like Michigan, but more hot! "
