Before the move - Før vores flytte

Sophie attended her graduation from Preschool. Sophie friend Sydney is receiving her diploma.

Ja, denne blog er gamle, de har ventet for mange månede.  Det her ...kun to år!  sjovt hva?

These teachers do make house calls! Lære komme hjem til Sophie!

My lovely neighbor last year Tina, prepared me for this however I am not sure that I could believe it until there they were at our front door.  Danish teachers make it a practice to visit the homes of their students! Before you ask, no it is not because my children go to a private school.  My neighbors children attended the local community school and experienced the same treatment there!  The logic is clear, they feel that they can better help/get to know the children if they can relate to their lives at home.  So we welcomed Sophie's teachers Hanne and Karin home for our first conference and to give them a grand tour of Sophie's life.  She loved it!

Min delige nabo Tina, førtaldt mig sidste år om besøge, men jeg var ikke ret sikker om det indenfør Lærer var lige uden af vores dør!  Lære i Danmark, som regle besøge studenterne's hjemme.  Før du sproger, nej det er ikke fordi min børn er studenter på privat skole.  Mine naboers børn var i almendlige skole, og de også fået besøge! Det tænksomhed er klar, de følger som de kan bedre hjelp/og lære børn om de kender børns liv hjem. Så vi velkomed Sophie's lærer Hanne og Karin hjemme for vores første foreldre samtale, og til vis dem en lille smule om Sophie's liv.  Hun elskede besøge!

Max's field trip to Momhøj

This was Maxie's trip and it in a nutshell was the same as Sophie's, just at a different place. Oh, and I know I have mentioned this before too, but it still cracks me up to here that the kids call me by first name. Especially with the Danish pronunciation!  It is endearing!
